Now for story info, ne? ^_^ Well this takes place near the end of the episode: "Seiya and Usagi's Nervous Date". I've been looking at this episode for a while now and thought it could be different so…. Here I go with another one of my crazy fanfics. ;) hope this'll please all of you and… well I'm not sure how different I'll make this so you'll find out the same time that I do. ^_^ In the beginning (er… first eight pages) this is quite wildly OOC…
Disclaimer: SM and friends are not owned by moi but by Naoko-sama and BIG, rich peoples.

Strobe lights blurred colors around the people dancing below. One blond sighed in relief and partly annoyance, "You meant dancing…" she said more to herself than her companion.
Beside her, her dancing partner asked, "Nani? What's that?"
Blushing, Usagi replied, "N… nothing…" <Why am I being so uptight? Oh! Why did Luna and Haruka-san get these ideas stuck in my head?! >
Suddenly blackness filled the room and many people let out shrieks, women moved closer to their partners as they rushed to get out of the room. Usagi sucked in her breath nervously with eyes wide, yet neither her nor Seiya ran.
Above, two figures leaned over the railing and looked below at the dark room. The white-silver-haired figure, Yaten, questioned, "A power failure?"
Taiki replied, "I hope so…"
Seiya brought his arm out to circle around Usagi's shoulders, he brought her to him and murmured, "It's okay. Don't worry!"
Usagi didn't answer, only stood quietly with her thoughts. Without realizing it she leaned against him, <What's this? This… feeling…>
~ Flashback ~
"Usako, it's okay! I'm with you…"
"Mamo-chan…"
"Usako…"
~ End ~
<Mamo-chan's warmth but a different scent… I don't know… different from Mamo-chan's sweetness…> Usagi's thoughts trailed to an end as she peered up at Seiya who was looking around calmly.
A new high-pitched female voice reached their ears, "You can't escape! I'm here for your starseed, Seiya-kun!" A white-haired, petite female came from the shadows, smiling sickly sweet.
<Iron Mouse! > rushed through both Seiya and Usagi's mind.
Seiya stepped in front of Usagi protectively, hardening his face, "Get away," he murmured.
"But…" Usagi started.
"Quick!" he ordered.
It was Usagi's turn to toughen, "No!" Seiya turned back to her in surprise.
"Wha-?"
"Please give me your Star Seed!" Iron mouse shouted. Turning too late, Seiya yelled in surprise. Usagi worked on instinct and pushed him to the floor.
"Arigatou…" he gasped. Usagi only nodded.
Iron Mouse let out a frustrated cry, "Ooo! I need to bring in a starseed first thing in the morning! Hold still!" she shouted.
"S- Seiya…?" Usagi whispered, beginning to lose her last bit of courage. He took her hand in his and squeezed softly, looking in her eyes he whispered,
"Don't worry… I'll protect you."
<No, > she thought, <I should be protecting you…> Usagi stood up with the help of Seiya, to be ready she held her broach tightly, <What should I do? >
Sailor Iron Mouse let out a squeal of impatience, "Just give me your starseed!" She shouted.
Seiya's lips formed into a small smile as he grabbed Usagi around the waist and prepared for Mouse's next attack. As he thought, two disks of yellow light shot out. Waiting for the right moment Seiya jumped high, bringing Usagi with him. Mouse was heard murmuring, "Please, Kami-sama… I need to bring in a starseed first thing in the morning!" She looked up as the light faded, "Nani?!" she cried.
Seiya's voice drifted down from the first of many balconies, "You can't catch me even after 100 million years!"
"Ooo! I'll get you yet!" Iron Mouse screamed in reply, frustrated she let loose a few disks of power, hoping to either hit him or the girl or scare the two out of hiding. The latter worked better and soon Usagi and Seiya were seen dropping to the floor, out of harm's way… or so they thought. "Goodie! You've decided to come back! Now let's finish this, ne?"
Usagi's frightened whimper alerted Seiya that something was wrong, he noticed then that her foot was caught underneath one of the chairs, cursing softly he bent over to try and help get her foot free. The blond looked up and screamed, "Seiya! Look out!" a blinding light hurled towards the two figures, moments later disappearing.
One frightened form placed a hand to her lips, "Oh Kami-sama…" she whispered as crystal tears softly fell down her face. Usagi's shaking hand picked up the bear broach that Seiya had won earlier at the carnival before lifting her eyes to face the sight before her. "Seiya…" she whimpered.
Suspended in mid-air was Seiya's form, above his head the normal flower which contained all Star Seeds was opened and a brightly shining diamond glistened as it floated. Iron Mouse cried out happily, "A pure Star Seed! YES!!!"
Usagi stood nervously and went closer to Seiya, reaching a hand out towards him, "No…" she whispered, "NO!" She yelled at the top of her lungs. Iron Mouse backed away in surprise as white light began to burst into existence around Usagi, a golden crescent moon could be seen on her forehead. <You can't do this! Seiya you can't go! >
"What the-?" Sailor Star Maker asked as she blocked her eyes from the blinding light, "What's going on?"
"That girl… is that her power?" Healer asked, also blocking her eyes.
"I… think it is! What's happened to Seiya?!"
Suddenly the white light ended and Usagi began to fall back, "No… I must… save… Seiya…" she murmured, from her broach the silver crystal came into view. Holding it in her hand she closed her eyes, unsure of what to do she just wished. <Please… heal Seiya and give him back his Star Seed! Don't let them take it! Give it back to him!!! >
The last thing she saw before falling into unconsciousness was Seiya's limp form as he fell to the floor, <Did I save him…? >
<@>
Sailor Iron Mouse blinked at the sudden change of light to darkness, "What…?" she asked aloud. She noted the two limp forms and then let out a frustrated yell as she saw the Star Seed no longer in sight, "How did she do that?! That little… THING! How dare she put his Star Seed back! ERG!"
"Don't move!" The harsh voice made her back away.
"Nani? Who's there?"
"Star Sensitive… Inferno!"
Iron Mouse only had time to bring a telephone booth around her, "Damn! Nobody understands how I feel!" Suddenly a black-cord phone appeared and began to ring. Mouse whimpered softly and reached out a shaking hand, finally she answered, "Hi! Thank you for calling! This is your Sailor Iron Mouse!"
A female voice drifted through the other end, "You disappoint me Sailor Iron Mouse!"
"Ahh…. Galaxia-sama, are you mad because I hung up on you?"
"I don't need you anymore!"
Iron Mouse let out a terrified squeak, "Galaxia-sama! Please forgive me!" A golden-suited woman appeared in the shadows by the phone booth, "No! Please! Don't take my bracelets!" Mouse cried as her arms were forced together by some unseen force, her voice getting frantic she cried out, "Oh! I have an idea! Why don't you forgive me if you can't answer this riddle?-" a golden hand reached forward and motioned upwards. As Mouse's bracelets disappeared she screamed out one last time.
Galaxia turned her head to Maker and Healer, she stated in a royal manner, "The whole galaxy belongs to me, Sailor Galaxia! If you don't want to end up like this, don't disobey me!" And then she was gone.
"Galaxia," Maker hissed, "The real cause of what destroyed our home planet!"
"Taiki," Healer broke in, "we need to see how Seiya is! And… Usagi-chan too…"
The two Starlights rushed over to the limp figures. Healer and Maker knelt beside them and lifted Seiya up a little. Healer commented, "He'll come around soon enough… it seems to just be the aftershock of his starseed returned. But now…" she turned and stared at Usagi's figure. The blond was sprawled out with her hair drifting around her, a golden moon glistened upon her forehead and a crystal glowed brightly in her hand.
"Whatever that crystal is… it helped her with that power we saw before. It's still glowing which means she must not have been able to stop the power…"
"I wonder what that is…"
Healer and Maker cut off as they felt Seiya stir slightly, within a few minutes his eyes opened slowly. "Yaten! Taiki! What are you-?" he broke off as his sight caught on blond hair, "Odango… what happened?" finally he sat up fully and rubbed his face, trying to remember.
Maker explained, "Your starseed… it was almost taken… but Usagi-chan suddenly burst out screaming and the next thing we know there's all this golden light… followed by silver light. The second power came from that crystal in her hand."
Seiya peered at the young girl only a foot or so from him, "So…"
"She saved you," Healer finished, "yes."
A tentative hand reached towards the crystal clutched tightly in Usagi's palm. Seiya hissed in pain as the crystal struck out at his skin, "It's burning! But wait… I think she might wake up!"
Crystal blue eyes suddenly opened to take in the dark room, the first thing escaping her lips was, "Is Seiya alright?"
"I'm fine… Odango."
"Seiya!" Usagi sat up quickly but immediately regretted it and slid back to the floor, "I can't believe it! I thought… thought…" she stuttered while wiping away relieved tears. He moved over beside her and whispered,
"Shh… I'm fine… it's okay."
Maker said harshly, "You should stay away from her."
"Nani?" Seiya demanded, surprised completely. Usagi looked up with wide eyes,
"Sailor Star Healer! Maker! What are-"
"We are going to ask the questions," Healer stated coldly, "you have a lot to answer for."
Usagi was surprised and forced herself to sit though the crystal's left-over effects were taking their toll. Finally she whispered, "Oh no… you… you saw…" she put her hand to the warm point in the middle of her forehead, "Oh damn…"
"First off-"
"Stop it!" Seiya snapped, "Can't you tell she's worn out? Let her rest, she did nothing wrong."
"But with such a power she can be a danger, Seiya!"
The blond was still shaking her head, <Oh no, oh no, oh no! What am I going to do? They saw! > "QUIET!" she finally shouted, the Starlights and Seiya turned in surprise, "We won't get anything done this way. Now first I have some other things to talk to the Starlights about… so let's please do that first."
"Why? We have questions!" Usagi remained silent. Finally Maker sighed, "What is it?"
"I…" Usagi started but then realized she didn't know how to approach the subject, "I don't understand why we can't be trusted… I mean, me… why don't you trust people? Have you been so betrayed?" She stood now, though wobbly. The blond looked them in their eyes as she spoke, "Why can you not except others and take help?"
"How would you know of Sailor Moon's offer?!" Healer and Maker demanded.
Usagi turned away, "I was there that night okay?"
"You're hiding something…. You are more, are you not? Now we will ask the questions."
"I promise no answers, for there are secrets that must be kept…"
Seiya stood up beside her, suddenly seeing a side of Usagi that had never been revealed to him before. Healer started, "So then, how do you have such power to retrieve Seiya's Star Seed? What about the mark on your brow, what is the significance and why is it fading?"
She sighed and looked down, she murmured softly, "Forgive me Setsuna-san… Luna-chan… minna…" Usagi looked up again with teary eyes, "Fine then. The power? It comes with the mark that appeared on my forehead. I… I don't… know… much about the… power," she lied through her teeth.
That was noted and pointed out to her, "You're lying."
"I can't tell you about it! Okay?!" She shouted, tears running down her face, "I'm already betraying them! They'll be here any moment! Just go!"
"Odango, what are you talking about?" Seiya asked, starting to worry. The way she was talking made it seem that she truly was an enemy, "You're not with them… are you?"
"With who?"
"With Galaxia," Healer clarified.
"NO!" Usagi cried, horrified at the idea, "That lot is horrid! Just look what Sailor Iron Mouse always did! She always-" suddenly she clapped a hand over her mouth.
"Why do you know about her? What do you know?" Maker's eyes were narrowed.
"I… I… just can't tell! I can't explain!" Usagi wiped away tears and backed away, "Onegai… Maker… Healer… I just can't tell. Won't you understand? I know you can! We can understand each other…"
"That was what…" Healer started.
"Sailor Moon said…" Maker finished.
Usagi looked at them hard, "Why don't you listen to her?"
"Deep Submerge!"
The blond closed her eyes in exasperation, "Shimata… they pick the worst entrances…"
"Nani?" Seiya asked beside her. All four turned and faced the new comers.
"It's them again!" Maker snarled, "What are they doing here?"
The turquoise-haired senshi narrowed her eyes, "We can ask the same question."
Uranus stated, "We felt a strong evil presence here before so we headed over here."
Before anyone else spoke Usagi broke in, "Neptune… Uranus… don't. They're just here because of Iron Mouse! I don't know what happened to her but she was trying to take Seiya's Star Seed… there's no more danger!" Usagi was stepping forward now but was beginning to wear down even more.
Maker and Healer watched with stern expressions while Seiya stayed off to the side, watching with alert eyes.
"Usagi-chan, step away and let's go. The Starlights are not even from this solar system!"
"So?!" she yelled, "What does that matter? They are senshi-"
"But the enemy is senshi!"
"But they have helped us! We have a common enemy, at least let us join together now!" Usagi's eyes pleaded, she had no want for fights between them.
Neptune glared hard at the Starlights, "I do not trust them enough. It will not work."
"We won't join anyway so don't worry about it," Healer spat, "But you leave us alone now. We have some questions to ask this girl."
"You stay away from her," Uranus's voice was deep with warning.
Maker glared at them and stepped towards Usagi, "Uranus no!" The blond screamed as she saw the attack being formed, but that would not be the problem.
"Dead… Scream…"
"Pluto?" Usagi whispered but then realized who it was heading at. "Maker! Healer! Move!" but the Starlights wouldn't budge, <Damn, why do I always end up doing this? > she wondered as she stood boldly in from of the two.
"Ohmigod!" Pluto screamed, "Attack stop! Stop! Princess, get out of the way! NO! Usagi!" A bright light flared suddenly and the attack disintegrated. Pluto sighed in relief as her attack was deflected.
Seiya ran towards Usagi, she was standing with a dazed expression on her face and the crystal in hand. Suddenly she whispered, "That was the last of my power…" she ended up fainting right into Seiya and he caught her quickly.
"What happened?" He asked as Neptune, Uranus, and Pluto rushed over.
"Don't touch her!" Uranus said harshly while reaching out.
Pluto took Usagi from Seiya's arms, "We can take care of her. But stay away from her!" the senshi of time studied the girl's pale face the moon blazing on her forehead, "Shimata… she used the crystal! Now what?"
Neptune's brow furrowed, the outers seemed to have forgotten that there were others in the room with them, "She'll be asleep for days using that much power in such a short time! What will her parents think?"
"Mercury can heal her quicker, hopefully. She's always good at this…" Pluto reconsidered the thought and grimaced, "But she doesn't have the proper equipment in this time period. Forget that idea."
Seiya finally broke in, "What happened?"
The outers' attention snapped to him, finally Sailor Pluto sighed, "She used too much of the silver crystal's energy within a short time period. It's a miracle she was awake when we arrived."
"The silver crystal?" Healer asked.
Maker questioned, "How does she come into such power?"
Pluto's hard face turned to her, "You don't need to know." With that the three outers jumped away and melded into the darkness.
"Wait!" Seiya yelled, already too late. He hung his head and blocked the wetness of tears, <What's going on? Will she be okay? >
"Seiya, c'mon let's go home." Seiya only nodded in response and left with Maker and Healer.
<@>
Seiya stared out at the darkened sky with unseeing eyes. Hearing the stop of footsteps behind him, he murmured, "I would be dead now, if it weren't for her…"
"But she's also the one that got you into the position to be vulnerable," stated Yaten's crisp voice.
The black-haired boy's mouth formed a thin line as he turned, "Why are you so negative? She's just a young girl-"
He was cut off as Taiki entered the conversation, "She has powers, Seiya. We don't know what they are and she may very well be on our enemy's side."
"How can you say that?!" Seiya cried while his eyes misted, "She's our friend and classmate! Stop acting as if she's our foe!"
Yaten frowned and replied, "We cannot be sure either way. What we need is answers."
Taiki agreed before gazing sternly at Seiya again, "For now, stay away from her…"
"Matte! Doko…"
"Iie, you're not to correspond with her! Is that clear?! Don't put our cause and princess in danger!" Seiya turned his head to let a few tears fall.
<@>
Luna sighed as she watched her young ward sleep. <Oh Usagi-chan, why did you have to do that… now your energy is spent. > The small cat groaned as Tsukino Ikuko came into her daughter's room to wake Usagi.
"Usa! Come on dear, you need to get to school!"
A groggy Usagi slowly opened bleary eyes and meekly replied, "I feel… awful mama…" Ikuko just shook her head, "Mama…" Usagi began to whine.
"Iie! Get up now and go to school on time! Go on! Up!" Ikuko, once sure that Usagi was getting ready, left the room giving her daughter privacy.
Usagi yawned as she slipped on her school blouse while Luna looked on with worry, "Usagi-chan…?"
The girl stifled another yawn to smile before replying, "I'm fine Luna. See you when I get home! Ja!" with that she ran out the door.
Again the small cat sighed and fretted over the welfare of her ward.
<@>
Just as the bell rang a very out-of-breath Usagi rushed to take her seat. Seiya watched her heaving back from behind her, eyes narrowed in concern.
Slowly Usagi calmed herself to breathe regularly when she was suddenly struck with a dizzy spell. She moaned softly and rested a hand to her head as blackness nipped at the edge of her vision. The next thing she knew, her vision was clearing and a warm hand was on her back. "Seiya!" she whispered in surprise when she faced him.
His face was twisted with concern as he asked, "Dajoubou?"
"H-hai…" she responded shakily.
Seiya was about to say something else but the class started. As the teacher began class, Seiya and Taiki's eyes met; the brown-haired boy narrowed his eyes with warning. Sighing, Seiya focused on the teacher, trying hard to look worriedly at the odango-ed girl in front of him.
Usagi, too, was working hard on focusing her attention on the teacher. She did her best to ignore the pulse in her mind and the blackness that continued to nip at her vision. Knowing that she couldn't talk to Seiya today- after a warning from the outer senshi- she began to think of how she might be able to explain to him what had happened. And for that matter, she realized, that her other friends didn't know of what had happened the day before. <Oh! So now I have to tell them too? > she sighed, <Iie, I'll leave it be for now, otherwise they'll be on my case. >
The bell rang, signaling the next class and Usagi winced, physical education. Muttering under her breath she commented, "Guess my goal is to stay conscious…"
As Usagi changed clothes for class she felt the dizziness bite at her mind again. <No… not now, I have to make it through today! > With determination she finished and walked out with her friends to the track where they began to run.
"So where were you yesterday, Usagi-chan? I couldn't get a hold of you when I called yesterday afternoon," Minako commented as they jogged.
The other blonde didn't answer at first, too busy worrying about breathing steadily, "Oh… I was just out. I went to the carnival yesterday, actually."
Ami gave her friend a sidelong glance, guessing whom Usagi had gone with. "So… was it fun, Usagi-chan?" She asked innocently.
"Hmm? Oh y-" suddenly Usagi couldn't finish as the ground moved up beneath her and colors blurred just as the voices around her did. All she could clearly see was brown earth coming to meet with her face as she fell.
<@>
Shrieks of fright startled everyone into running over to where the girls had been running. Seiya had the strangest sense of foreboding and quickly ran forward. There was a crowd gathered around someone or something and he had to push through to see. Makoto was standing tall and shouting, "Everyone move back! We need to get her out of here! Go on!" Minako and Ami helped out in making a path through the crowd as the tall brunette picked up a small, limp, blonde.
Biting his lip in worry, Seiya made his way to follow Makoto, "What happened?" he asked, looking at the unconscious Usagi.
"We don't know! We were running and talking when she just collapsed! No warning either… I have no clue why that would happen…."
<I do. > He thought as Ami and Minako ran to join them.
Ami seemed to be considering talking to Seiya but wasn't sure yet. Finally she tapped him on the shoulder and asked, "Um… Seiya-san… when you were, um… with Usagi-chan yesterday… um… did anything, strange happen?" Her eyebrows were knit with worry, and when the other two girls heard her they stopped in their tracks.
Minako giggled a little, "Oh, so that's why she wasn't home yesterday!" Ami frowned at her but looked again at Seiya for an answer.
He stood silent for a moment, deep in thought. <What should I do? I know what happened but what if these girls get more frightened…? I don't know what to do or what I should say…> "Let's get her to the nurse, first," he finally said, and moved forward.
The girls exchanged glances but moved forward. The nurse put Usagi in one of the beds and checked to see if everything was all right. She finally frowned, confused. "It's strange really, I haven't seen anything like this for about… oh, two years."
"What is it?" Ami asked anxiously.
"Seems her energy is drained. Wasn't it two years ago that we were having cases like this all the time because of youmas?"
Makoto was the only one able to nod, Minako and Ami had paled. "M-may we stay with her for a while?" Minako stammered.
The nurse glanced at the young blonde in bed, "I guess… but you can't be spending the whole day here. Now I need to go, let me know if she wakes."
Seiya and the girls nodded. Once the nurse had left the three girls sat down hard. "Oh Kami-sama, not again!" Makoto muttered into her hands.
"Now what do you think she did?" Minako asked, looking at her `sleeping' friend with fright.
"Who knows, could have been anything. Those youmas do pop up from time to time, you know. Seiya, was there some `monster' where you were yesterday?" Ami questioned.
Seiya was more than confused by the girls reactions but finally he answered, "No… no monster."
"Then what was it?!" Minako almost shouted, but remembered to keep her voice down a bit.
He blinked at her outburst, "I don't know if I'm supposed to say… I don't understand all of it myself…"
Makoto stood up and looked him in the eye, "We're some of her closest friends and we need to know."
"Fine…" Seiya sat down in a chair and rubbed at his temples, "We were at a club near the end of the afternoon… there was some type of power failure or something…" he sighed, not knowing what to say next. "Everyone ran, really… we were still there though when some strange `woman' appeared. Weirdest hair-do…" he shook his head, "she seemed part mouse actually. She-" he stopped there for a moment, this was dangerous ground to tread, he had to give them enough information to be satisfactory but yet couldn't give away his other identity.
"Go on," Ami whispered, the girls were alert and looking at him with wide eyes.
"She said something or other about getting my `starseed'. I don't know what she had, some sort of power I guess, and threw it around. Odango and I dodged them mostly but she ended up with her foot caught and we were in one place for a time… I was… I don't know…" Seiya put his face in his hands, "I don't know how to explain it."
Makoto's face was grim, "Your `starseed' was taken at that point. Do you know if you turned into one of the `phages'?" Ami gave her friend a warning glance but Seiya failed to notice.
"H-how…? Forget that… but yes that happened. I don't believe I was turned into this `phage' though. The Earth senshi weren't there until some minutes later." The others frowned at him and he began to get a little nervous, "When I was awake again the strange `mouse-woman' was gone… Odango was lying on the floor with a crystal in hand and a strange insignia on her forehead." Minako slapped her head and started cursing softly, Makoto did the same and Ami just started muttering to herself. "I'm not finished."
"There's more?" Minako asked with her mouth agape.
Seiya nodded slowly, "Sailor Star Maker and Star Healer were there… within a few minutes Odango was awake again and just a short time later three of the Earth's senshi were there."
"Do you know their names?"
"I think Odango said Uranus and Neptune… I don't know about the third."
Ami asked again, "What was the third's attack?"
"Um… I think `dead scream' or something like that…" he stopped talking then and looked harder at the three female figures before him, "how do you know so much?"
"We've lived here for years, through the attacks of youmas, daemons, aliens and many other things. We're used to it, I guess." Makoto shrugged and then laughed lightly.
They were silent then until Ami said, "Minako-chan, you go call Setsuna-san, I think that Usagi-chan should stay with them for a few days. Who knows what will happen, besides- we don't know how her parents act to this sort of thing."
"Hai!" the blonde jumped up and went into the nurse's office to make the call. Next, Ami stood and walked back over to her friend. Checking her pulse and then a few other things that the nurse didn't do.
Makoto came up behind her, "So do you think her energy will be back by tomorrow?"
"I'm not quite sure… I'd need to run a few other tests before knowing," Ami replied. "But… not tomorrow. Her energy is spent this time, luckily she didn't use enough to kill her."
"How much do you know?" Seiya demanded suddenly, "You know much more than you're letting on."
"We know that Usagi-chan has some strange power and none of us understand it," Makoto stated the lie easily.
"But from past experiences and attacks I've learned to judge when she has her energy returned," Ami continued, "usually she isn't attacked like this. It's much weaker usually…"
Seiya sighed, "There's one other thing. The crystal in her hand continued to glow even when she was unconscious… you might know what that means."
Ami's eyes were wide for a moment before she turned back and detached Usagi's locket from her shirt. The smooth gold was cool beneath her touch and was not glowing some odd color. Relieved, the blue haired girl put the locket back and turned to face Minako as she walked in.
"All settled, Setsuna's coming by lunch to take her home. She also saved us the trouble and will call the Tsukinos."
<@>
Usagi woke up about a half-hour before the lunch bell rang, she was met with very happy faces, "Thank goodness you're awake!" Minako grinned and gave her friend a hug.
"What happened?" Usagi asked before answering it herself. "Oh yeah, I passed out while running. Where's my normal clothes?"
Ami pointed to a pile by the bed, "You can put those on when Setsuna-san gets here."
It took a moment before Ami's statement sunk in. "Setsuna-san…? Why?" Usagi's eyes were suddenly very weary as she looked at her friends.
"We're having you stay with them until you're fully better, can't have your mom worried all the time!" Makoto told her.
The blonde groaned, "But you guys don't understand what happened yesterday! She's angry with me as it is… plus if I'm with them I'm not going to be able to ever talk to Seiya or the other Lights. And you know how Setsuna feels about the Starlights! There's no way I'm gonna be… able… to…" she trailed off with her mouth still slightly open. Staring at her was Seiya with a very confused expression. "Kuso…" Usagi buried her face into her hands, "I'm such an idiot…"
The other girls were also looking worriedly at Seiya. Finally Minako spoke, "Um, Seiya-san… there's a lot you can't know. We're sorry… but by some twist of fate you've ended up finding out this much. Maybe some day you can know the whole thing, but right now it must be kept secret. All that you've heard please don't mention it- or what happened yesterday. It's of up-most importance."
"Minako-chan, it's `utmost' not `up-most'." Ami corrected. Minako brushed it off and continued to gaze at Seiya.
"I understand. I really should go now…" standing up he looked at Usagi who was still hiding her face, "Get well, Odango." He was able to see her nod before leaving.
As soon as he was gone, the girls huddled together. "Usagi-chan… he knows something that he's not telling, too. He referred to the outers as `Earth's' senshi… and he seemed to be fighting not to tell us all that happened yesterday. He knew the names of Star Healer and Maker - how would he know?" Ami looked at her friend with the beginning of worry. "Had you noticed anything?"
Usagi played with the sheets and tried to gather her mind to focus. "He… seemed somehow to know the two Starlights there, the same with them. I couldn't understand… I had to lie and explain a few things to Healer and Maker. Seiya obviously heard too but…" She shook her head. "I really don't know, minna…"
"It's okay, Usagi-chan, Setsuna will come soon and then you can go rest. We'll give you some privacy so you can change." Usagi nodded and waited for her friends to leave. Slowly she worked on getting off her gym clothes and then slipping into her regular school uniform. She folded her other clothes up and stood to walk to the door. She still felt light-headed but not as faint as before. Opening the door, she found her friends standing around waiting.
Makoto waved her over and explained, "The office called here. Setsuna's waiting for you. We'll help you get your stuff and walk you out; it's lunch break after all." Usagi smiled weakly and went back to class to grab her things. Being a nice day, no one was eating inside. The outdoors were filled with conversations and laughter which echoed up through the windows and into the classrooms.
"I'll call tonight," Ami said as they headed to the office to sign Usagi out. "I should probably find out what happened from your point of view. We'll… keep an eye on Seiya. Try to figure out what's going on."
They moved to the front doors where Setsuna was supposed to be waiting. The doors opened and they found the tall woman leaning casually on the railing for the concrete steps. "Konnachi wa minna-chan," she greeted with a nod. She stood and looked Usagi over. "I hope you feel better now." Usagi nodded a bit and avoided the maroon-purple eyes. Setsuna turned her attention to the other girls. "Haruka and Michiru suspected this would be how it turned out. She'll be back soon enough… if you hadn't used so much power…"
"Well I did," Usagi mumbled, not being able to snap angrily. Setsuna sighed and shook her head.
"C'mon, Usagi-chan, let's go. Sayonara," Setsuna guided Usagi away from the steps. Makoto, Minako, and Ami watched after for some time.
The dark-haired woman walked steadily through the school grounds with Usagi silently behind. They were almost at the gate when they were disturbed again. "Matte! Odango!" Seiya came running up and meters behind, Taiki and Yaten were following after him, looking a bit angry. They stopped when they saw Usagi and Setsuna.
Setsuna's eyes flashed briefly as she looked at Seiya but she stayed silent. Usagi managed a weak smile. "Seiya… I'm… never mind." She shook her head and looked at her hands.
"Odango… I-" he was cut off as Yaten and Taiki appeared on either side of him. "Taiki…"
"Excuse us, I think we have something to do," Taiki said stonily, staring at Setsuna meaningfully.
The tall woman smirked slightly at him. "You seem rather outright, ne? I don't believe you have anything to do." She glared hard at Taiki. "But leave now." She turned and Usagi paused to follow. As they walked away, Setsuna turned her head slightly and spoke. "I expect you to stay away from Tsukino Usagi. You wouldn't want trouble now, would you?"
Usagi gripped her fists and forced herself to not cry. "Setsuna-san…!" she whispered. They were soon away from the school grounds.

Seiya was left staring at nothing as the two rounded the corner and away from the school. He was confused now with all that he had heard that day. Shaking his head, he focused his attention on his two companions that stood before him.
"You see now, Seiya? Obviously there is something about that girl or that woman would not have told us to keep away from her. There's something about them both." Taiki stared hard at Seiya. "You understand now that we stay away and observe. We'll take necessary actions later." He turned and Yaten followed.
`Why don't they understand?'
